I am delighted to announce that my third CD has just been released by Albany Records. Wondrous Love: Works for Solo Cello features the three suites for unaccompanied cello by Ernest Bloch, and two pieces by Daniel Bukvich, Variations on “What Wondrous Love Is This?” and Phantasy on a Theme of Purcell.
I feel so honoured to be the dedicatee of the latter composition, and to have such a wonderful composer as my colleague at the University of Idaho.
My grateful thanks go to Susan Bush of Albany Records, recording engineer David Bjur for the beautiful job he did recording and editing this disc at the Washington State University Recording Studios, and producer Sean Butterfield for his incredibly sharp ears and his insistence on pushing me even when I was exhausted after many, many takes…
